The Family Support Team

An intensive home visiting program to work with abused children and their families after an abuse hotline report. Counselors and specialists work together in teams to support families in crisis, teach new parenting skills, budgeting, child development and coping.
This program has a 93% success rate keeping children safe and with their families. Funded by FamiliesFirst Network of Lakeview Center, Inc.
Children’s Medical Foster Care

A collaborative partnership between Families Count and the Florida Department of Health, Children’s Medical Services Northwest Florida Region to ensure quality care for children placed in medical foster homes. A 24/7 medically driven program of doctors, nurses and social workers ensure stable placement. This program also offers licensing, training and recruitment of foster homes for medically fragile children.
Since our partnership with Children’s Medical Services, there has been a 17% increase in the number of medical foster homes available to medical foster children (July 2006-January 2007). Funded by the State of Florida Department of Health, Children’s Medical Services.
